The AGM on 26th April 2019 endorsed a proposal from the Executive Committee to proceed with plans to change the Club’s structure to incorporate and seek charity status.

A letter or email will be sent to all members directing them to this page. It contains the proposed legal documents for members to review and ask questions about, prior to an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 25th July 2019, when members can vote on their acceptance of the proposed changes.

Details on how to ask questions are at the end of this page.

There are three documents below that explain the changes. You can download a copy of each document by clicking the DOWNLOAD button or click its title to open it in your browser:

CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION (CIO) CONSTITUTION of OLD RUTLISHIANS’ ASSOCIATION

This is the proposed new constitution if we become a charity.

RULES OF OLD RUTLISHIANS’ ASSOCIATION (CHARITABLE INCORPORATED ORGANISATION)

These will be the new rules of the Old Rutlishians’ Association if we become a charity and are referred to in the new constitution.

RULES OF OLD RUTLISHIANS’ ASSOCIATION (UNINCORPORATED ASSOCIATION)

These are an amendment of the existing rules but their purpose for existing is only to enable us to claim legacies that may be gifted in the future to the current unincorporated association.

Questions can be asked by contacting Hon. Treasurer, Sandy Pfeifer on 07880 854996 or by email treasurer@oldruts.club. Printed copies of the documents found on this page can also be requested.

We are anticipating a lot of questions so please do not expect a response before 25th June 2019. If you still have not received a reply or acknowledgement of your question by 30th June please get in touch again.
